Day 5 National Poetry Writing Month 2016

tide that washed away
rump of my misperception,
pray help me face, that
certain indifference, so
even in guilt I see hope.

lying on my back,
gazing at pitch black night sky,
hoping for a tear
in the fabric of space-time
to reveal tiny secret.

Spring Rain

after the sunset
when the spring drizzle returns,
streaks on glass windows,
the sill, obscuring the view.
darn! spilled coffee, must find rag.

in grocery store
a glance from across the aisle,
a slight double-take
betrays flicker of desire,
but fades into guilty shame.

Notes: Did not follow Day 5 NaPoWriMo 2016 prompt, instead wrote few tankas.
