It’s in the Stars

It’s in the Stars

Night stars are at the edge of extravagant outlook.
Like crystals and alchemy moving
Human beings upward.

Spirits of sacrament describe loved one and friend –
She looks like a pink star-blossom after rain
A dream flows like water, like a moving rainbow.
Starlight moves at speed through the sky
and hold light in their eyes.

The reverse star charts – I wait, and stand
Then slip through the crack and cover my eyes.

Notes:  Day 13 of NaPoWriMo 2020.  The prompt is “optional prompt for today (developed by Rachel McKibbens, who is well-known for her imaginative and inspiring prompts) plays on the idea of stealing. Today, I challenge you to write a non-apology for the things you’ve stolen. Maybe it’s something as small as your sister’s hairbrush (or maybe it was your sister’s boyfriend!) Regardless, I hope this sly prompt generates some provocative verse for you.”

I did a Found poem, so I suppose that is kinda of remix/stolen poem.  The original poem is by Mei-mei Berssenbrugge titled Wonder.
